Summer 2009 has seen the successful launch of Tag Rugby in Claremorris, as a result of which a new Rugby Club has been established.
Louisburgh’s Andrew Maxwell and Milltown’s Fergal Leonard, together with Claremorris-man Eddie McLoughlin, are behind the Club. Eddie's company 'Ecologic Solutions' are also the Club's main sponsor.
During the summer training for Tag Rugby has been held on grounds belonging to the soccer club and winter training will continue on Wednesday evenings at the Upper Mace Equestrian Centre in Barnacarroll.

Mini-Rugby
In excess of 120 children have registered for underage mini-rugby (children aged six up to U-12) and training will commence in early October.
